About M*A*S*H

Medical Assistance Serving Humanity

M.A.S.H. evolved in direct response to the work we did in Haiti after the earthquake of January 2010. The work opened our eyes to the plight of the Haitian people. Every year, we assemble a team of professionals and travel to Haiti to provide a week of medical assistance at Sacré Coeur Hospital in Milot, Haiti.

Sacré Coeur Hospital

Medical Team Rotation on a Weekly Basis

Sacré Coeur (Sacred Heart) Hospital is a 200-bed hospital that is a beacon of hope for the people of Northern Haiti providing accessible quality health care. Well before the earthquake, this hospital had an excellent system in place for teams to rotate through on a weekly basis. There are secure living facilities on the premises, and three meals a day are prepared for staff. The hospital is completely staffed by Haitians and this gives us the opportunity to not only provide medical care, but also to have a heavy emphasis on teaching.

A Great Love

To know that the world cares about you and loves you goes a long way to lift one’s spirits.

On our trips to Haiti, we witness a people who are kind, gentle and tremendously appreciative of the outpouring of assistance given to them in terms of medical care, food and shelter. What has made the most significant impact is that, in addition to these providing for these basic needs, great love has been shown to the Haitian people. To know that the world cares about you and loves you goes a long way to lift one’s spirits.
